FUE Hair Transplant

What is Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a surgical procedure that improves hair regeneration through a minimally invasive hair transplant. Individual follicle units are extracted from the donor area and placed in the recipient area for permanent hair regeneration. Unlike FUT, FUE harvests individual hair follicles rather than removing a hair strip from the donor area, resulting in a minimal to no surgical scar and hair restoration that appears seamless and natural.

FUE, like FUT, has an amazing and completely natural appearance. Both procedures ensure that the hair transplant result is natural and permanent.

Procedure

Donor Area Preparation

The first step is to identify the donor area from which healthy and strong follicles will be extracted. Hair trimming occurs in the identified donor area to facilitate the extraction of individual healthy grafts.

Follicle Extraction

After identifying healthy follicles, these grafts are separated from the rest of the hair and extracted very gently. Tiny incisions are made to isolate and extract individual grafts with tiny tweezer-like instruments. This procedure is performed under a microscope to ensure that only healthy grafts are extracted precisely and safely.
The incision marks are barely visible and will heal within a few days because this is a minimally invasive procedure. Hair regeneration is visible after 3 to 6 months and the result is permanent.
