FUT Hair Transplant

Follicular Unit Transplant  (FUT)  is a minimally invasive, proven procedure to restore hair to the areas where you need it most.

Why Barley FUT

In recent decades, hair transplant technology and surgical methods have advanced at an exponential rate. FUT, which was a major breakthrough in the hair restoration industry, is one of the most commonly used surgical hair transplant methods for extracting grafts for hair restoration. Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) involves surgically removing a thin strip of hair from the donor area of the back of the head, where the hair is healthy and strong. Grafts are then extracted from this hair strip, i.e., hair follicles are separated and implanted in the recipient area where hair is needed. Although the procedure leaves a liner scar in the incision area, it is barely visible to the naked eye.

Our FUT differs from traditional FUT in that we combine it with our microneedle technology to maximize the number of grafts. This is beneficial when a client has thin or sparse hair in the donor area. As a result, we only use common FUT on rare occasions, and only when our clients have thick and wavy hair that is suitable for FUT. The combination of FUT and our microneedle methods has produced excellent results for our clients.

More About FUT Hair Transplant

FUT is also known as the strip harvesting method because a thin strip of hair is used to harvest healthy and strong grafts, and it is a reliable method because it ensures natural and dense hair regeneration in the recipient area. FUT is typically recommended for people with dense, thick, and wavy hair because it provides enough hair to extract a strip of hair for transplant. In our practice at Barley, all procedures are planned and carried out under the supervision of an experienced Barley doctor, who first consults with the clients to determine the best course of action for the FUT follicle extraction surgery.

Donor Area Preparation and Harvesting

Graft Preparation and Follicle Extraction

Procedure

Donor Area Preparation and Harvesting

At this stage, the donor area is prepared for graft harvesting, and our hair experts remove a thin strip of tissue from the donor area. The strip is removed through a surgical incision. First, the hair is trimmed, and then a small strip is removed with expert precision. This entire procedure is delicate and necessitates expertise to ensure that there is minimal scarring and damage to the donor area.

Graft Preparation and Follicle Extraction

The strip is trimmed after extraction to obtain and separate graft units. A graft unit is made up of one to four hair follicles that are separated and prepared for hair transplant. Technical expertise is required to ensure that the harvested grafts remain healthy throughout the procedure so that these follicles can be placed in the hairline created during the first stages of the FUT procedure.

Any post-FUT discomfort and incision marks will fade within a week, and no special care is required. Our hair experts at Barley make certain that our clients receive proper aftercare advice and will assist you in this regard. It usually takes 3 to 6 months to see a visible difference and for the transplanted hair to begin regenerating. A hair transplant is a permanent solution to any hair loss problem you may be experiencing.
